Once again, Music Therapy brings the stars out for one extraordinary night at the Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Imagine Dinner on 7 June 2012
We are delighted to announce that once again, the power of music therapy has inspired world-class chef, Shannon Bennett to throw open the doors of his restaurant in the sky – Vue de monde at the top of the Rialto.
One extraordinary night of food and entertainment is raising money to support the expansion of the Hospital’s “Music Therapy Program”.
Cancer patients participating in the Royal Melbourne Hospital music therapy program express themselves through words and music through a unique, world renowned song writing method developed by Senior Music Therapist, Emma O’Brien.
Shannon Bennett, whose restaurant is a Melbourne icon, is passionate about the Hospital’s program. “Music feeds the soul – it is artistic, personal and comforting. Food can also nourish in this way so I see our collaboration with the Hospital as a very natural one.
It promises to be an incredible night – and a pretty good view too,” said Shannon Bennett.
Reservations for this inspirational event on 7 June 2012 can be made by calling Cynthia Slattery on (03) 9342 7111 or emailing rmhfoundation@mh.org.au
