RMH City Campus RMH Royal Park Campus Travelling between campuses
RMH City Campus
Tram
- Number 19 (North Coburg) tram via Elizabeth St - stops at cnr Grattan St and Royal Pde.
- Number 59 (Airport West) tram via Elizabeth St - stops at cnr Grattan St and Flemington Rd.
- Number 55 (West Coburg) tram via William Street from Flagstaff Station - stops at cnr Grattan St and Flemington Rd.
Bus
- Route 402 (East Melbourne - Footscray via North Melbourne) bus - stops outside the hospital in Grattan Street.
- Route 505 (Moonee Ponds - Melbourne University) This 12 month trial of an hourly service started in May 2011.
This bus departs from Moonee Ponds Bus Interchange and operates via Mt Alexander Rd, Ormond Rd, Brunswick Rd, Gibson Ave, Park St, William St, Cade Way, Garrard St, Oak St, Poplar Rd (RMH Royal Park Campus), Walker St and Royal Pde to the terminus in Royal Pde near Genetics Lane (opposite RMH City Campus).

Taxi There is a taxi rank located directly outside the main entrance on Grattan Street. There is a disability access ramp inside the main entrance.
Car Underground car park off Royal Parade (see Wilson's car parking signage). Fees are displayed at the car park entrance. More information: phone (03) 9342 7719. Pensioner, long stay, and multiple day visit concessions are available. Your ward manager can assist you with more information about concession parking. Limited short-term metered parking is available in the streets around the hospital. We recommend that you use these parking spaces with care, as the hospital cannot be responsible for any fines incurred.
Parking for the Disabled Limited street parking is available for people with a disabled parking permit outside the main entrance in Grattan Street. In addition, there are 20 reserved disabled parking bays in the underground car park. You can use the drop off point near the car park cashier's window on level 2 of the car park. Wheelchairs can be borrowed from the Volunteers' Desk in the hospital's central lift foyer if you need one.
Patient Transit Lounge The Patient Transit Lounge can be used to drop off or collect patients. The Lounge is open from 8am - 6.15pm and is located on 7 West and there is free 10 minute parking, for Transit Lounge pick-up and drop-off, between the main entrance and Emergency Department entrance on Grattan Street. Volunteer Guides Volunteer guides are situated at the main entrance to the hospital. They can provide directions to guide you around the hospital, assist with a wheelchair and escort patients to clinics and other hospital departments. Click here for more information on the RMH Volunteer Guides.
RMH Royal Park Campus
Train
- Royal Park Station on Upfield line. Railway station adjoins Poplar Road.
Tram
- Number 55 (West Coburg) tram along William Street from Flagstaff Station. The tram travels through Royal Park, and has stops at both Poplar Road and Park Street (at the top end of the RMH Royal Park Campus).
Bus
- Route 504 (Moonee Ponds Junction - Clifton Hill).
- Route 505 (Moonee Ponds - Melbourne University) This 12 month trial of an hourly service started in May 2011.

Car/Taxi There is public car parking (a small fee is charged) on site for visitors - just off the main entrance on Poplar Road. There is also free parking (2 hour) on Park Street. A taxi phone is available in the RMH Royal Park Campus reception area.
Travelling between RMH campuses
RMH City Campus and RMH Royal Park Campus are well connected by the Number 55 tram route, between Flemington Road stop (Grattan Street corner) via Royal Park to either Poplar Road stop (short walk to the main entrance) or Park Street stop (top end of RMH Royal Park Campus).
